Anyone else had near perfect vision all there life to find recently that thier eyes are shocking and need glasses?

Just been down to the opticians now and found that my eyes are shit and need to wear glasses all the time!

I used to wear them for reading on and off but that was about 3 years ago and didn't need them for long... I was quite shocked actually... but I have noticed a big difference in my sign of late!

The guy did say they were to be worn all day every day but if I couldn't bring myself to wearing them all the time then just to wear them for night time driving and reading and cinema and stuff...

I ordered some QuickSilver Hightec 11's from Specsavers... in black, I thought they were really nice, not too sure once I'm back at work and had time to think about it

Mine were £125 each plus £12 for the tints on one pair... then it was a deal or something, I got the second pair and tints free... so ended up paying £125 for the 2 pairs and £15 for the eye test.

Not bad at all... IMO

Thing that pisses me off is that the only reason i went is cos recently at work while on location my eyes go blurred after a stint on the cameras... the optician said I need to have a break from all the filming cos it's my right eye thats buggered (view finder thingy is on the right eye on cams)... boss decides to tell me that we've got loads more shoots coming up for MTV and music videos and stuff... GREAT!

I had near perfect eye sight till I was 18...then it went downhill...have glasses but hardly wear them I use contact lenses everyday...deffo gonna look into getting laser eye surgery as my eyes have gradually got worse due to becoming dependent on my Contacts...

Im now -2.25 in both eyes which is quite bad...no fucking way I could drive without my glasses or CLs in...

Good thing is my eyes have kind of settled and have been -2.25 for a few years now...so laser eye surgery is on the cards in the next few years...

It fucking scares me though...

Antz thats not bad at all it'll just be there to make things sharper.

As you get older eye sight deteriate naturally hence the need for reading glasses etc.

Also if you read lots (i.e students) your eye sight could need slight correction.

Suppose it's not that bad, but when you are used to having perfect sign and suddenly that happens, it i bad, if you get what I mean.... it's bad to me lol

My eyes have recently got shit. Had an eye test for the first time in 24 years and need glasses for a "slight correction". Everyone else in my family has always wore glasses tho. I haven't bothered to buy any yet tho, they're so expensive and I'll never wear them!
