Mine wasnt too bad, had a bit of trouble with one thread but got through it OK and a co-worker set a poll up which seems to be creating a little banter.

Ok big essay time. Sorry for those that don't like reading/can't be bothered.

I got myself there quite early to get myself parked up, when I got to the barrier the security guard informed me that I wasn't allowed to use the car park! Great start! No one told me! He suggested I park in the Park & Ride car park. I went there got a token and was told it would only be validated if I got on the bus, NU is only round the corner! So I left whilst the token would still allow me to leave and parked in Asda, 3 hour limit! Great! At 11am I moved to Monks Cross car park and the sign said 4 hours! I was then told that if I had got a differant bus at the P&R they would take me to NU and validate my token! The useless guy there never told me that!

So far my day was off to a brilliant start!

I was greeted and given a quick tour followed by being shown to my terminal, full internet and e mail but I'm not allowed to use it for personal use ie - Not even at dinner

To start with I was given a series of aptitude tests such as Disbality & Discrimination, Health & Safety and Data Protection Act. I read what was on the screen then had a test at the end. I had to get 85% on each test to pass. I passed the first one then the second went back to the beginning after I'd done it grr! Same happened with a few others too. The Descrimination one was quite difficult but I got through it in the end!

To be honest I was getting a bit fed up by this point! I don't know anything about Data Protection so that took me a few goes! Eventually I did them all and got results ranging from 85-97%.

For the remainder of the afternoon I was put with a lad who was checking companies account details against their other details on the system and linking them up. It all looked a bit daunting at first but then he let me have a go, I'm sure it becomes second nature eventually! I'm getting moved in a few weeks so don't think its my actual role/team.

Also for those interested theres some attractive young ladies too.

So parking issues aside it hasn't gone that bad to be honest. Everyone seems friendly enough, and atleast I'm not doing those bloody enquiries anymore!

Operations Delivery Department. In the Life business but I'll be employed by Aviva.

Role is Customer Service Representative.

I've just spent the last year working as a Darwing Controller in a design office. - Drawing distribution etc.

Not enough spaces they say. Theres a waiting list and when it your turn you can park there for 6 months. They never told me that! The reason theres a limit at the shopping park is because of this.

You'd also need to pay extra on your insurance to be fully covered though, as your using your car for work purposes .
