Just been lookin at them and they aint at a bad price tbh...But ive noticed a 1.8 20V T Cupra 3d group 15 and 1.8 20V T Cupra R 3d 17...Im lookin at cars i can afford Will lowish group but still be quick ....as ive been driving 2yrs 7months and have no NCB as i had a 5mph Shunt in 2006...
So what are they like...

The cupras are very nice cars imo, my mate had one and i thought for the money the are a nice quick car which look good, I have also been looking at these as my possible next car.

get one so reliable and very fast, remap will get you close to cupra R figures and you could build to a similar spec to a R if wanted

I have one nice cars, go pretty well as standard and simple mods take them to decent power figures. i got it when i was 19, 2yrs no claims, think i pay 1400 quid insurance. Previous to this had a 206 grand tourisme and got money back off my insurance from the change

for years I wanted a ibiza cupra and when it came to getting one i was put off abit as there are some many which have been ragged to shit and chav'd up. In the end I gave up and moved on.
I still think that these are very very nice cars but make sure you have a good look around before buying!

i've got one of the older models (96) not the cupra sport but the gti, very nice cars, build quality is good (all VW parts) so i can imagine the newer one's to be even better!
i think you'll enjoy it far more than your corsa (even though i haven't driven an xe) just because they feel better built and better handling car than the corsa.

I have one.
Had it two years in August and in repairs and stuff it's cost me £35 (exc tyres and brakes....). All i've shelled out for was a fuse holder that sits atop the battery, but thats a common problem.
They go well as standard, nothing amazing, but the power delivery is smooth. Fun to drive, doesnt handle all that well though.
I'd recommend one to anybody.
Go for it
