i remember that race like it was yesterday also remember the saturday qualifying as roland ratzenberger was killed in a simtec

Part of the suspension came away & hit him on the head, think thats what killed him.

apparently it was announced before they went on the podium and thats why there was no champagne. but i reckon its one of the things we will never know.

Schumacher can drive but I have never liked him!

Very moving video though, I well remember that race. I never used to miss a race then now I fall asleep watching the highlights!

I thought they'd not been told yet?

The hospital hadn't confirmed his death until after the race was over.

Although Schumacher should still have been hanging his head for Ratzenberger.

Absolute legend and a very moving vid
You couldn't have that big a smile on your face after even 1 person's died on that weekend could you? Just doesn't seem right

Yeah, pretty much in the same place too, Ratzenberger crashed one corner before Senna in qualifying

Senna was a brillint Driver and his death was a big loss, he's a legend from when Formula 1 was a its best imo, F1 is crap now tbh and far too governed
