Do they exsist?

I took one at work, so my boss is saying its fake and he is taking it out my wages

It's got the water mark. I even ripped it and its got the metal stip in it.

Just feels a bit different.

If he's gonna dock you, then you keep the £50 note.

I'm sure they do exsist, just not very common..

I'm not allowed to take scottish notes in work, due to them being harder to change or something

http://www.siliconglen.com/Scotland/1_7.html

All Scottish banks have the right to print their own notes. Three choose to do so: The Bank of Scotland (founded 1695), The Royal Bank of Scotland (founded 1727) and the Clydesdale Bank (owned by National Australia Bank). Only the Royal Bank prints pound notes. All the banks print 5,10,20 and 100 notes. Only the Bank of Scotland and Clydesdale Bank print 50 pound notes.

It's legal tender just as much as an English note is.

Tell him that if you are expected to test for fake notes then he needs to provide you with the means of doing so - i.e. a UV light and tester pen. At my old job they were forever having a go at me for taking fake notes and cards because it happens so often, saying that to them soon shut them up!

WTF is he doig docking your wages too ?

Think the thing is, we don't see Scotish money that often so it's harder for the cashier to spot a fake. It's just that most employers seem to make the mistake of thinking/saying that Soctish money is easier to fake...

Trouble is, I don't want to make a fuss about it, because he's the sort of person that'll make my working life hell because of it.

Aslong as I get the note I don't care.

i hate scottish money

but then again they probably hate our's lol.

i've been to scotland many a time and always paid with english notes no problem.

whenever i came back with scottish notes from change i was given, i had to always get them changed at the post office as the cunting shops round here won't accept them.

discrimination

I agree with Ed tho, he expects me to take money without a UV light or tester pen, but then dokes it if I take a fake
