im sure everyone is aware of the sad situation in portugal concerning 3yr old Maddie, who vanished a week today (May 3rd) and hasnt been seen since. words cannot possibly describe what her family are going through at the minute, and,as time goes by,hope of finding her safe and well is slowly vanishing. it seems a lot of people in portugal are helping with the search,as friends and family here at home wait anxiously for a break in this horrendous situation.
[anybody who wishes to post a thought,or simply add support, please feel free to post.

I feel for that young girl so much it's untrue.
But i'm sorry i have no sympathy for the pain her parents are going through.

stupidity of her parents that caused this.
Leaving a 3yr old and 2yr old twins on their own is crazy. Ive a 2yr old nephew and I know the trouble he causes when he is 5yards from me, let alone if he woke up alone somewhere.

I have to agree, parents fault, but still, hope she's found alive and well.
I don't see the point in sending Leicestershire police over there though

If they find her it's worth it, but i think the cost should go to the tight fisted, irresponsible parents.

I see no problem with sending over some specialist UK cops who might be better than the ones currently looking.
Have to say though I think if they were going to find her alive then you probably would of by now.

I don't see what posting on a corsa forum is going to do to be honest.

My thoughts exactly, call me insensitive but she isn't going to read this, if she did sign up she'd be leched on and asked for pics/sandsculptures/bark rubbings within 3 replies

Could agree more! Feel sorry for the folk ofcourse, but at the end of the day they are clever people (both doctors) so what were they thinking??

Terrible tragedy that could have been avioded...Doesn't bear thinking about what she is going or went though and mty thought are with the little gilr anfd pray shew is found alive and well but as time passes so does the chances
As for her parants, stupid? In a word yes, you would not leave your kids alone sleeping in the house in this country so why do it over there..Doesn't matter if you are 50ft or 200ft away..Only time my kids are sleeping alone in the house if front door is locked and I am in the back garden, end of...
I think it's a very harse way for them to learn a lesson..

I hope they find her safe and well and all that, but her parents are stupid for leaving her alone! Then they come out and tell the press how the Portugese Police have made mistakes?! Erm wait, the mistake was made when you left your little girl on her own!

I heard on the radio today that the Portuguese police had an E-Fit of someone they wanted in connection to this, but couldn't release it to the public because there not allowed to under their laws.
Hope she is found safe and well.

Under their laws the police cant say ANYTHING about the case, not updates on what they are doing, who they are looking for, etc. So that has led to people saying they arent doing much/doing it well enough which TBH could easily be very wrong.

I think its harsh you all saying its the parents fault, they were tucked up in bed sleeping in a locked appartment & with parents 30 seconds away in a resturant making regular checks. Hows that irresponsible Thats no worse than sitting downstairs in the kitchen while the kids asleep upstairs!! Hope they find her, but the longer it goes on the less likely it looks

My parents used to leave me and my sister asleep in the rooms. I guess it's just how times have changed. I guess they saw it as being no different to being in the garden at home whilst the kids were asleep.
But yeah, just hope the girl is safe and well. Sick bastards if she isn't. I really don't understand people that would do such a thing.

They were 200ft away, that isn't 30secs. They were in a foreign country, not at home and just 'downstairs'. It's basic parenting! You just don't do that abroad!
We went to Majorca a few years ago, a little girl went wandering and fell into the swimming pool and drowned Little kids need to be kept close, especially in a different environment.
