was on my way home today and saw a celica gt4 at the junction so thought mmmm hes probably goin to try and overtake me, he pulled out (wheels screachin) saw him in my mirror comin up behind me so i thought "i aint lettin this tit passed" so gave the poor gsi death (limiter in 2nd 3rd and 4th. he kept tryin to pass but just cud not get passed me, hit 135 mph and i had to ease off for a sharp right hander (really have got to get it lowered). was preety chuffed as he couldnt get passed me.

my gsi is completely standard aswell (at the mo)

there is no point in hitting the limiter as the peak of the power is before that, you would be better shifting gears before that happened.

It all depends really. If your car is tuned with a set of cams, then usually the peak power continues to rise to, and beyond the redline.

Some people argue it is worth passing peak revs so you are already higher in the power band when you change up a gear. I dont agree though, id sleep with my bottom end under my pillow if it were convinient.
