What you think to these cars?

I know they aint as fast as the 106, but do you think it'd make a good run around?

Know one going of pretty cheap in white, got all the half leather etc, 1.9 alloys...

What you think? Anyone know the INS group? 0-60 etc?

Cheers

Do you know the 0-60 or ins group mate?

How much would you pay for one average miles for age, and in "ok" condition

I've owned one, great car but there getting dam expensive for a good one! Mate just paid £2500 for a mint standard version G-Reg and 140,000miles on the clock! Standard suspension will be very soggy by now on high mile cars but slower than a 106??? They have more power to start of with and are just as light so I doubt theres a lot in it on the road.

500 to 750 won't buy you much!

Very thirsty though, I have a 1.6 and its bad enough.

Nice car though but not the best handling ever!

I love them but they are old and my 2000 106 isn't the most solid car and definately not the most reliable! For a 2nd car it would be alright but expect things to brake!

So basically level with a 106.

But tbh i'd be more willing to push a £1000 205 to within an inch of it's life than i would a £4500 106! So the 205 will probably be loads more fun and they are very grunty, power is alot lower down than the 106, my mate has a 1.9 with 1.6 box, is in the process of sticking carbs on it, that thing was seriously quick with just cam, straight through exhaust, induction kit and 1.6 box, it will be silly quick on carbs. Still was doing a speedo verified 140mph on the 1.6 box!

all i know is it was fucking scary in a completely stripped bare 205 in the wet! I did think 140 was out but that just added to the scaryness of it!

They are a good base for a fun car, engine doesnt pack much of a punch though, hence mi16 conversions are common. Id recommend one for a runaround though.
