I've notice that red cars paintwork tends to perish with age, since owning my corsa back in October, I've always been keen to look after it,
being an artist I tend to take alot of pride when it comes to cleaning my car.
Yesturday (thanx to halfrauds 3 for 2 on cleaning products) I bought some red colortech wax and some meguires clear coat gold wax.
I've had the day off 2day so set to work on trialling.
The paint was (imho) in good nick before and not to far from the original red.
After some graffting this is the result.

the image doesn't do it much justice a part from the deep colour.
I've also managed to get a new front windscreen after breaking it in October.
opinions?

its a dead end where I'm standing to take the picture, with a padlocked gate to a lorry depot.

or I could of said:
yeah, Im a risk taker. whipped it round bailed out and took the picture.
got a few hoots from annoyed drivers. but meh.

feels so rewarding after you've done it.

For a 1995/6 car that paint is looking good. I'd recomend meguires carnubua wax to keep it looking that way for longer.

I've got some tyre shine, but was in a rush to get done as I had a job interview sharpish!.
As for post 97 bumpers Im tempted but funds are tight! would probs go for black again, as I think its different and I can be arsed to bumper black it too.

cheers mate, will have a look into that, its not to bad at the moment the only thing that'll dirty its minced up flies and dust, not had to clean it yet, but im guessing the water will just bead and so will be easy to polish?
