I am getting a tattoo at 11am its a cross like J.T's and its goin at the top of my left arm! anyone got any tattoos, and does it hurt?

Yeah it really really hurts...even more at the top of your left arm
nah just kiddin, it feels like a scratch.....but lasts for the full duration of him/her doing it 
I've got one in the same place on both arms

it doesnt hurt as much as peope say, doesnt feel like a needle just someone scratching you. Just take some painkillers about 30mins before you go and it'll numb things a little too.

Paracetamol thins your blood, so not best to take it before you get a tatt as you bleed more  P
Doesnt hurt that much so just be a man and take it, only thing i didnt like was when he outlined my dragon!

Hurts for the first few minuets then ya get used to it mine took 20-25 mins cost Ł40

Also have a bottle of lucasade (sp) b4 you get it done. Keeps your blood-sugar levels up.

After you have got the tattoo done you need to take extra care (which they will tell you when your there) not allowed to get it wet for the 1st week or so, then it will scab over and itch like mad but don't pick it!!

you can get it wet when you wash it (which you should do to prevent infection), just dont soak it in water!
Also not meant to go in the sun for atleast 4wks after it (as in holiday sun, not outside generally!!).

Got a chinese symbol on my right upper arm, so only took 5 mins. Very scratchy feeling!
I kept trying to rub off the old skin, you arnt supposed to really, but I wanted to see the good bit!

It scabs over, just like if you cut yourself, so it will itch as the scabs harden. Dont pick them off though or you can make the tattoo look a little dodgey. The scab on one of my stars on my forearm got ripped off by my jumper and now its really pale in the centre so need to go and get it filled in again

you'll have to cover it with a T-Shirt for a few weeks. Im not sure exactly why you cant get much sun to it but think its because it fades it. Its the reason Im waiting until after summer to get my next one!!

on the top of your arm it doesnt really hurt that much at all. ive got on there but its not the usual, its been powerlined so it was an hour of solid outlining(which most people say hurts most)
