got pulled tonight and got to give my license mot and insurance but i have lost my photo card. does that make me not have a valid license

and i dont think i will have it back in time so what is a way around it

not much you can do about it if you wallet got stolen though as its out of your control

just say that, sure they could get off their lazy bums and check up on the computer.

could you not take the blue certificate with another form of i.d. such as a passport to prove that it is you?

Just take in the paper one and explain you have lost it (dont make up some stupid excuse, it no offence to lose your license!). They will either accept it and that will be it or give you sometime to get a new one and produce it.

Take in your passport or similar as photo ID aswell, may help.

Yeh they should be pretty sound about it. Just walk in and explain to them without getting mouthy you don't have your plastic license.

i had two fines in one week, both requiring production of my license, but my license was away dealing with the one fine, i just told em and they put a delay on it til its sorted

no, not even if you had lost both. People loose things, the police know this and aslong as you dont go in with some stupid story and just say youve lost them, then they'll help you sort it.

i told the copper in the car i had lost it and he said just come down and explain and it should be all sweet. but my dad has been saying they ban you 4 it becuase its not a valid license

i agree, you've got your counterpart license so you will be fine mate, they can always do a check on the system anyway

and before that it was about 8 times in so many months
