Been looking around the past couple of weeks at prices of an E46, thinking about getting one, was about 99% sure i wanted one but after tonight going out in one with a complete fruit cake i am now 100% sure its the car to buy.
Whats peoples opinions on them? and who has one for sale? lol

If you get one, get a white 1!!! , this is on the cards for my next car, just you may have a "slight" issue in tracking down a white one.

yeah would be nice in white but as you said could have probs finding one, seen the baby blue one kicking around my area looks sweet but to be honest any colour would do, gold, silver, the baby blue or black ideally if not the dark blue then.......lol

I track them everyday... Black, Grey or Phoenix between £25k - £35k, must have satnav, 19s, HK hi-fi, arm rest, Heated seats and if black/grey... red leather
Not that many decent ones about tbh, a lot of them aret in great shape but if u rnt bothered by that then theres shed loads out there... still taken byt he T350C tbh... jus spotted a stunning green/grey one with green/magnolia half hide interior 6k... £34k

Brilliant cars.
Dad has one with SMGII etc.
I have made loads of posts about them - one of the best Coupe's of the early 00's!
Just be careful about running costs, they're extremely expensive. This isn't just a fast 3 series, it's a high performance car.
Dad has the tyre pressure indicator and had a bulge in 1 tyre. Because of the tyre pressure thing, ALL tyres needed replacing even though they had a few thousand miles tread left.
Things like that make it REALLY expensive.
The springs tend to only last about 20k miles as well, especially with our roads.

yeah Deano the guy who took me out said he spent about 10k last year running it - fuel (nurburg a few times) drives it like its stolen most days accordin to his mate lol, new tyres every 5-6k, same with brakes top tyres each time etc so ads up thought it was a bit of an overstatement on price but who knows, had new sensors etc and ecu so possibly correct lol

Early cars had crank bearing issues did they not? You'd be wanting to make sure that was fixed under warranty, or it would be expensive.
