For the red "beast"

So, its a 98 thats done a few miles & getting old It's likely to fail on at least something Just hope its nothing too serious

Then I can sell it & get rid of one of the cars off my drive, bout time I was down to owning just 3 Corsas again

Pretty much failed before it was even on the ramp

Because the key snapped off in the lock when Kif had it the boot doesn't open from the out side, have to climb through & push the lever

He says thats an instant fail, well how come it passed last year when it was the same

Fixed it

With a bodge job extrordiaire

Messed around with the mechanism so that it needed a pull & not a push, then attatched a bit of wire & thrown it into the car. Altered the latch so it opens easier too

Also I'd forgotten to fit the new pedal rubbers so it would've failed on that anyway, going to take it to one of these while you wait type places in a bit

Took it to another garage & they didn't even test out my bodge

It was going to fail on emissions & thehandbrake being seized but they said if its serviced it'll pass. £100 for a service is a bit steep but with the bill for it passing its test on the right side of £150 Im a happy chappy

Nathy - Its standard lights & has some other wheels on it

You are allowed a smooth boot with a popper though. My car comes standard with one.

Using this as a guide - http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/cars_search.jsp?searchform=&modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&photo=1&state=block&sort=3&hassearched=Y&make=VAUXHALL&min_pr=75&source=0&model=CORSA&max_pr=&miles=1500&agerange=&mileage=&postcode=dn11+0xs&variant=1.4&bodyid=0&trim=breeze&fuelid=0&colour=&transmissionid=0&keywords=&ukcarsearch_full.x=41&ukcarsearch_full.y=8

Whats mine worth?

Its a 1998 R plate 1.4 8v (Hi-torq) Corsa Breeze
Its done 95K
It has 12 months MOT
Its red, and has been colour coded (that front bumper is on whilst I touch up the paint on the post 97 bumper it should have)
It has 15" wheels with a fair amount of tread
Lowered 60mm
SXI interior
Sony MP3 CD player
It will have a debadged grille also

Its just been serviced by the garage that carried out the MOT

Bodywork wise its fairly tidy, although there is some rust on the boot & bonnet that needs sorting out. It'd probably want new ones (going to see if scrappy has any flame red ones in)

The thermostat gasket needs replacing. Its a farty little thing that leaking, nothing too major. I actually have one ready to fit along with a new thermostat, water pump, coolant & timing belt. The parts cost about £120 & these will come with the car

What should I be asing for?
