i aquired one for free. it has max power on it. i put it on to see what it sounded like and thought it sounded cool so it is actually still on the car. i know its not ment to make a differenace but is there anything it could have done?

decreased power?

made it rev longer?

anything?

Gave you no power gains whatsoever, and more hot air exposure

They just cause lag in acceleration, i've found that out wiht my car and a mates car, i've got a k&n 57i he has a k&n panel filter and I found that his car is quicker in acceleration.

I think its funny that people say induction kits roar, they all sound the same to me.

Yes you still get the sound and with an exhaust it helps, and drilling is easy, just take it out drill the holes where you want and put it back in.

Yeah they do have to be at the bottom, that's where the air will come into it.

i had a pipercross cone filter on my sport caused all my sensors to fuck up so a got a panel filter which is alot better

compared to what? have you tried a decent sealed ind kit to compare?

ive got a induction kit on my car, dnt know what make but when its been raining (quite often up here) after start up and for about the first 5 mins of driving it seems to missfire. i just put it down to the filter sucking up water.

ive tried drilled air box and just felt restrictive

yes ive tried a decent sealed one had a viper on my black corsa and didnt see much diffrence

I have a pvd bfo fltter on my sri cdti and i have no problem what so ever
no boggin. it pulls notisably stronger in the mid rage compared to the standerd airbox

its the noise, all in your heads, an open cone is definatly 100% worse than a decent sealed kit, or panel filter
