just wondering what people have and what is generally though of as the best. please say if this is better for mod advice section.

but atm i have two kenwood 6 x 9s and a jbl sub. turn it up too loud and the sound goes a bit shit. its all running through a sony headunit. the standard door speakers popped on me.

yesterday i aquired some components; infinity 5000cs. fairly good quality for general listening and a right bargain from a mate (£10)

so what am i best to do? fit these to the front and dtich the 6x9s?

or replace the 6x9s for components out the back aswell as thee front?

standard speakers in mine

i've heard people saying that for the best sound, all you need are good quality components in the front and a sub in the rear as the 6x9's drown out the bass

Thats what I have in mine, sounds much better than my old Corsa, which had 6x9's, a sub and coaxials in the front doors.

I have standards at the back, just to fill in the sound a bit, but they don't really do much at all.

just turn your music on and sit in the back seat...

and you will have covers over the speaker in the back at each side of the parcel shelf.

I have infinity components up front and rear and sub in the boot, got rid of the 6x9's as they are crap, they are basically and all in one speaker which you don't need when you have comps / sub.

ive got 6" comps in the doors, 4 1/2" comps in the rear 1/4s two 12" subs and it sounds awesome imo, i am totally happy with it (currently about 146.3 db)
also it depends what you want the system to do really, sound quality, lots of bass, or just plain loud? then theres the question of budget. getting good quality stuff always helps.

need any advice just ask
