In preperation for the big day tomorrow i thought i would give the nova turbo a detailing to get it all spankingly clean.

Here are the pic's of it and advice from the day:

I first of all got my detailing kit ready, as you can see i only use the finest equipment. The bucket is a £1 special imported all the way from Travis perkins, a fine sponge from B&Q, a nice hose and some turtel wax car wash. Unfortunatly i have lost my vernier calipers so i could not measure the paint thickness.

First of all i rolled it out of the garage and prepaired it for a rinse off with the finest water from my garage tap. As you can see it is covered in dust from been sat at the garage for so long.

Pic of it rinsed off.

Then i set to with my bucket and sponge and gave it a good wash, unfortunatly due to the amount of time it took me to do this stage i did not take any pics. Once rinsed off i dried if off using my Autoglym wiper blade thing. Here is the result.

Then to finish it off i popped the grill inplace and took another pic.

Here is one more showing the wing width.

Looks lovely but I don't see the point.

All that washing & it'll get dirty again. It'd be worth doing if it were something decent like an Astra VXR...

Yeah 'detailed' seems to be the in word to over use these days!! Look you soaped up rinsed & polished your car - get over it

Awesome work there Ricker!
I hope you done your mental calculations right as to what soap/water ratio you should use? And that you built up a 3D map of the surface of your paintwork in your head before attempting to chamois it dry!
