Today, Dad and I attacked the front of the Corsa...

And after stripping off the damaged bits, ended up with this:

Fibreglass/filler/etc on the Airdam, probably fixable...

Cool, is it a Peco? Did you lose some paint on the NS rub strip too?

Not a Peco, got a custom backbox made up at Custom Chrome in Nuneaton.
Paint on both rubstrips was just lashed on quickly for Trax, jetwash has taken its toll as it wasnt meant to last anyway.

Well that slam panel gets taken off, then new one from eBay, £30, wings for £40, then crash bar etc and time to do it... should cost less than £200 to sort it out *fingers crossed*
Bottom cross member is all intact and straight, no creases or crumples on the legs either.

Top hinge on the driver's door has come away from the bodywork a fraction, was a bit rusty so the impact must have finished it off. Passenger door is fine.

Fully comp, but they would probably write it off. If that happened, I'd get market value, say £600.
Minus my £400 excess and outstanding premium, means I'd owe them £50
So instead, didn't claim for my car, transferred the remaining policy to the Cavalier, calling in a few favours with car people I know and sorting the Corsa.
That way I'm only gonna be £400 down, and I'll still have my Corsa. Plus it means I don't have to worry about transferring the plate around before the insurance come to claim the car.

I take it there is no third party involved in the incident Ash?
