Gonna be quality... Joe will win no doubt, he's a more skilled fighter, but Peter Manfredo will fight to the end (he's from the contender series).

Either way could be interesting as neither will want to lose.

Peter has a world title to claim and Joe has an oppotunity to really break into america.

Joe has a dodgy hand and is getting a bit old now...

Peter is a bit more scrappy / been beaten!

Can't wait

what I mean is...

A lot of fighters are chosen just so they get some work / money / back into the lime light.

i.e. most of amir kahn's opponents, obviously want to win, but no they don't have a chance but the chance of collecting a few quid and getting on tv interests them.

However, here both have a good reason they must win.

cheers for this, forgot all about it. I reckon it will be an easy win for Calzage, none of the "contenders" seem to have done anything.

fuck sake...

A ) peter was shit / started slow..

B ) stopped too early!

I think peter was taking his time to let joe let off some punches, then would've fought back hard round 4th onwards...

did you see the ref in the back ground... he looked like he was shitting himself on what to do from the minute joe started firing off shots...

Obviously the ref couldn't handle the pressure of 35,000 people in a stadium and millions watching around the world!

I know peter wasn't firing any back ,but if he had tried to, because of the speed of joe's punches coming at him, he'd of got caught.

He was just trying to ride out the storm before releasing a counter,.

I disagree.

Good result, but the yank hardly threw a meaningful punch and it was stopped too early.

Still, I guess the HBO made a few quid on all the 'contender' hype
