I experienced something quite strange on sunday. I returned home after a nice ride on my motorbike in the 'slight' sunshine, sat down on the sofa and started watching tv.
Then slowly I started going blind. At first it was like a slight loss of sight, but it wasn't till I tried to read a magazine I noticed that I couldn't see any of the text. It was like what ever I looked at directly (disapeared) - Like a blind spot that was covering most of my eye. I was only able to see things vaguely out of the corners of my eyes.
I was watching tv, and russel brand was on, and I couldn't see his head. it was just sholders and then the background. I told my mum my eyes were well screwed, but I could only see part of her face.
After resting for about 30-40 mins my eye sight started returning and I got a massive head ache.
I've been looking online and I think it was visual loss caused by a migrane. called negative scotoma, where part of your sight just disapears - it doesn't go black, it just go 'void' like as if there was nothing there, so if I looked at my hand I'd see a hole in it etc, if I read a a book, the text where I'm looking would just look the colour of the paper etc.
Was v.odd and I hope I don't get it again,
anyone had similar before?

I suffer from something similar, I went to the doctors when it first happened and they said it was a classic migraine symptom.
I normally get it in the corner of my eye and everything just goes blurry, then about a hour later I get a migraine. Don't get them much anymore luckily.

I've had this for years. It's normally the start of a Migraine. Mine was diagnosed by Doctors etc etc.
Ended up having to take pills every day to try and stop them happening. If it happens again, Just try drinking water, resting with your eyes shut and having nurofen liquid capsules. Not good fun though

When i'm tired my eyes go blurred. Cannot concentrate on one thing but if i look into the distance everything is fine. I also get it sometimes with really nad headaches.
I blaim it on spending too much time on a computer and watching TV. Going out costs money and i'm a skint student again
