Today I was driving through a residential road where there were parked cars all the way down the opposite side of the road, making it my right of way as the obstruction is not on my side of the road.

Then I notice some f*ckwit speeding towards me in a battered up transit van, I stopped and waited for him to pull in and let me pass, and finally after about 20 seconds of looking at me with a gaumless expression on his face he decided to pull in.
Unfortunately he only moved half of his rotten old transit into the space, not leaving me enough room to pass.
I opened my window and explained the gap wasn't big enough and he needed to move fully onto his side of the road, and he just stared at me like I was speaking another language.
I got fed up with waiting and just reversed back into another space and let him pass, I wouldnt have minded if he had said thankyou but he just drove past shaking his head as if I was in the wrong!

Why are these f*cking arseholes given driving licences? They clearly never heard of the highway code!
If this wasnt bad enough, after he passed and I drove further up the road a stupid old bint in a 4x4 did the same f*cking thing to me!

Well thats my rant for the day!

Always carry a magazine in the car

If it's your right of way, turn the car off, keys on the dash board, mag out, make yourself comfortable... they soon move .

I know thats only a joke but its amazing how many people think like that. The way I see it, its best to avoid conflict and just get to where you're going as quickly and safely as possible, then bitch about your comprimise later on your chosen forum!

I'd never mount the curb if its my right of way, just stop in the middle of the road or something. Not risking fucking anything up for someone else incompetance.

what about your own day because your both too stubborn to actually back up or give each other any space.

pavement is for pedestrians and the road is for cars. true, but does this mean your not alowed to cross the pavement to get on your drive, and that pedestrians aren't allowed to cross the road?
i don't think so

I'm fine with giving way, but the fact was it was my right of way, so the thick twat in the van is supposed to be giving way to me. If I was in his position I would have got the f*ck out the way.

Why should I risk damaging my own car because of someone else. Not a chance.

im pretty sure they produce two types of each model of car, one for the general public and one for people that drive around lincolnshire

only difference being that the fcuking stick on the left of the stearing wheel doesnt seem to work
