can't find JC article/comments in full but will be a blow if it true.

'An estimated eight million people tuned in to see the last episode in the series on Sunday - BBC Two's largest audience for 10 years. '

It HAS to come back. Its about the only programme I watch on normal TV.

They say this after every series.

It just needs a new format again, maybe go back to the old format but keep the track.

Perhaps they should go back to making a television show about cars?

if it does get dropped there would be good reason to put money it going elsewhere

its a format that works and gets EVERYONE talking, from all ages, sexes and backgrounds. and you kno they would make the money back with the advertising. as such there is the potential for a bigger budget therefore bigger/"better" stunts but may distract from the cars....

Yes, but it's BBC 2. BBC 2 isn't for TV programs that will get huge audiences. The whole reason why the BBC started the channel is to make more specialist programs for smaller audiences.

I personally think that:

FAST CAR - NEWS - STUPID STUNT - TAKE THE PISS OUT A CELEB - FAST CAR - MORE OF THE STUPID STUNT.

Works alot better & is more interesting than:

FAST CAR - FAST CAR - FAST CAR - FAST CAR - FAST CAR - FAST CAR.

I really enjoyed this series........it will be back!!

no, with the old format they incorporated the stunts into a review of a car, it all added up in the end and made sense, like racing the audi rs4 against the rock climbers, it highlighted what the audi rs4 was all about and where it was and wasnt, with this they would just chuck and audi off a cliff watch it smash up and your left thinkiing, what was the point in that!

I'm not thinking that after the show ends tbh. I'm either, A) still laughing, or B) wanting more. As are most people from what I gather.

AJ, old format was reviewing cars and bikes and the odd feature. Not set in a studio at all. The first series in the hanger was good, it was differant and added a lot of humour. I enjoyed this series but it didn't feature enough reviews of cars, or affordable cars for that matter.

Colin don't you mean:

FAST CAR - FAST CAR - FAST CAR - FAST CAR - AFFORDABLE CAR - FAST CAR.

That would be the Max Power Syndrome i.e. you have a car mag which sell a half decent amount of copies. Realise that if you put naked women in it you will trebble and more your sales BUT as a result loose the true reader.
End result is you have another wank mag and not a mag about cars.

This series has been good but too many gimicks for my liking. I don't mind one of these silly things every 3/4 episodes but to have one in virtually ever one and even a whole episode about ones going too far.

I wish they'd lose the stunts and start reviewing Rover 75's tbh.
