Im going in my TB'd XE corsa. I know its gonna be a lot on fuel, but at the end of the day its a once in a lifetime opportunity and it would be so much fun to do it in the corsa. Plus the fuel bills will be split 3 ways cos im going with 2 mates.

TBH it isnt a once in a lifetime opportunity, you could go at any time with a group of mates.
Might not be quite as good though

I know what you mean, but in a way it is for me. Im moving to spain in september for 10 months, so it will be a geat way for me to spend some time with my best mate before i leave the country, may as well go all out and have the best time possible cos after all thats what its about!

I was gonna do this, me and paul j seen this awhile back. My housemates keep badgering me to do it but i dont want to risk the gti getting hurt or falling apart lol.
i would be more tempted to buy a cheap car and use that.

youd better decide soon, all the 2 person team places are taken up, and over 2/3 of the 3 or more people teams!

Worth getting a little box of goodies together for the boot!
One spare tyre
Clutch
brake pads
brake fluid
antifreeze
oil
What about CV joints/drive shafts? I dont know how easily your car will be eating them when its on the road

drive shafts should be fine, its not like a monster spec LET. Brake pads are a must cos they arent an off the shelf item. Are you gonna sign up too Doug?! Clock is ticking!

Im trying to pursuade my mate in his E30 M3 to do it!
But im not sure he is up for it. Still on the case though. Im tempted to buy something like a MR2 turbo to do it in. They are really cheap!
