I put up some PSP emulators on eBay. But they were removed something to do with they are illegal But there was a guy on eBay who was bidding, and wanted to buy them. I then sold them out of eBay, via e-mail and paypal.

In my add I stated that he would need firmware 1.0 - 1.5 for the emulators to work. But he bought them before checking what firmware he has, I sent the disc after he sent me the money, this was about 2 weeks ago now, he e-mailed me saying he couldn't get it to work, I didn't know his firmware version at the start, and told him what he needed etc.

He has e-mailed me yesterday, saying he wants a full refund, and has contacted eBay, and they asked him to forward my details, for copyright infringmant

What I am wondering is, can eBay do anything about it? as it was removed from eBay, and I sold it to him over e-mail & paypal.

He'll probably try and shit you up with copyright bollocks. He chose to do a deal outside ebay so he doesn't really have a case.

he cannot and should NOT forward your details wihtout your consent to whoever he wants. It's different if the police ask for the details. If he still does it, you will have a case against him for breach of privacy

He should not have proceeded with the deal. He's a complice in the 'copyright infringement' claims.

Are there any details of the deal in his paypal payment?

As abdus said, he's going to implicate himself with also breaching copyrights

just say that he bought it outside of ebay therefore ebay having nothing to do with the transaction, and he is also in complice with the copyright infringment due to purchasing illegal goods.

Also state that your advert clearly stated that you needed firmware versions 1-1.5 and it would have been up to him to make sure that his PSP's firmware was suited before making the purchase.

Maybe add a bit saying that if he gives out your details you will seek legal advice for breach of privacy.
