Who all uses them?
I've been 3 times this week. (wanted to kick off my tan for my hols in 4 weeks time)
Ist two sessions I went on for 6 mins. Made no difference AT ALL to my colour
Soooooo I got a bit impatient and last night went on for 11 minutes - BIG mistake. Today parts of me are red raw
Any tips on whats the best type of bed to use (stand or bed) and how long each session? I'm panicking I'm running out of time to get a nice tan before my holidays in 4 weeks

Serves you right for letting Koling in there with you.
And I'm not a fan of sunbeds at all, have a fair few moles so reckon I'd be asking for skin cancer if I used them.

I'm not a big fan either tbh - just wanted to kick of my tan. I don't normally use them, thats why I'm confused as to what's best and what's not

Its the lie down I've been using. The lady in the tanning shop suggested something like after every 3 lie downs make the next one a stand? I've no idea why?

One a week sounds ideal, but I think I've left it too late for that
What about two 11 min sessions a week from now till holiday's in 4 weeks. Do you think that would be enough for a tan to develop?

surely the best way to get a good natural looking tan is to just go on holiday? I don't understand why people feel the need to look brown when they arrive (my gf does this and it is quite frankly annoying to say the least )
Sunbeds aren't safe imo and people run the risk of doing exactly what you did and going over the top.

stand up or lie down doesnt matter really. It is not instant though. You need time for the melonin in your skin to react to the rays. Moisturiser helps devlop this process as well.
Also don't shower for 4 hours after going on the sunbed as this will just cancel it out effectively.
I went 3 times a week for 2 weeks prior to my hols

Hmmm...........the first thing I do when I get back is jump in the bath, to get rid of the stink off the lotion
Ano Dave, I don't use sunbeds usually - but its the 1st time I've been abroad and I don't want to look peely wally when I get there

Am I missing the point here or does the lotion stop you from tanning?

I'm using them at the moment...just to keep my tan from india topped up up until my sisters wedding.
I'm only going on once a week for about 6-8 mins though.
2 to 3 times a week for about 8 minutes a time should be plenty though.

Fakebake - best home tan in a bottle, looks natural, darkens in the sun and is easy to apply...
excessive sun beds = skin cancer
