Whilst I was in Munich, went to see where Hitler kicked it all off with his "Beer Hall Putsch" in 1923 - although he was arrested and sent to prison (where he wrote his book Mein Kampf - "My Struggle") it was the first major Nazi action to take place IIRC.

Second floor is where he held his meetings for the NSDAP

And a pic from inside (this place is constantly buzzing, always packed to the gunnels with drunk tourists And a band whose biggest hit was a song called "Let's go, let's go, let's go to Oktoberfest"

Random litre of beer pic:

that HB logo on the first pic stands for Hoff Brau, the finest beer ever made by man. Has deep influential nazi roots. Just started selling it in the Lowenbrau in Sydney. amazing stuff

Germany is a beautiful country, 10x better than this one we have to live in.

Its clean, the people are polite and they know how to fight a war.

It's incredibly clean Ollie, you don't realise til you've been over there. If you leave London Euston, everywhere is covered in graffiti and rubbish, whereas leaving Munich the place was spotless. I could probably count the number of tags on one hand.

I've been to Berlin remember, its just incredible that I feel safer walking around a foreign countrys capital than I do in my own.

Going there really opened my eyes to how shit this country really is.

Ah yes, I couldn't remember if you'd been over there.

I felt sorry for the woman I saw returning to her car as I was making my way into London Stansted to leave on Tuesday, had her purse stolen in departures with passports and money in, so that was it for her family, no holiday.

I only heard sirens three times in Munich, compared to London where it's almost constant.

Thats something that Rachel mentioned actually when we were in Berlin, never once heard a siren and we were staying 1 block away from the Kurfürstendamm which is the main shopping street in Berlin.

My god I need to go back there.
