In that case (after reading the title) 325iS as a track day car.

What power is an E20 320i

Still think id have the GTi 16v - beemer will have the hearing aid beige low spec interior with absolutelly no support to hold you put when going side on, will have the BMW bus steering wheel (its massive), no M-tech kit & no BBS wheels so wont look as good as the golf. no lsd. no all that fun really!!

Ive had both (GTi 8v & 325i) I prefer my golf, the bmw was fun comming off roundabouts/out junctions but I prefer the golf, the whole scene, things folk do with them........I feel more committed to my golf & id say prefer it, want to keep it. The BMW was just a bit of fun for a few months, didnt really take it too serious. Then again it was a rough example I had, maybe thats why I wasnt so into it. Id love Kano's mates 325iS or an M3

Leather looks best

BMWs are cool as you can get any of the engines from the entire BMW range ever in any of the cars, like a V12 in an E30

VWs sort of erm, can't.
