Bidding on a phone on ebay, been watching a few all evening. Picked ones that were in good enough condition & kept a close eye on them
Missed out on a few, then the last one I was watching I started bidding on.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=012&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=220082630228&rd=1&rd=1
I bid £130, as did someone else....username looks familliar
Clearly the same person!
In that listing he says he got one as a present & one as an upgrade
Yet, his other account...
http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=janusz_corsa2
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150088068594
He tried to buy another, then claimed his money back. Seller left him negative feedback
Anyway, been sent a 2nd offer on it for £130 + p&p, which is what I'd bid on it. Not a bad price for what it is & its condition.
Sent him this
Hi. I see that you've given the 2nd offer on the N73, just got a few questions. First of all am I right in thinking that you bid on your own listing with an alternate account & won by accident? Doesn't take a genius to work this out, look at the usernames. Also I see you tried to buy one recently (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150088068594). So that means you got one as an upgrade, one as a present & one you wanted to buy yourself. You were given negative feedback for this, although this may not have been your own fault. My worries are that Im dealing with someone who has 2 accounts, bids on their own listings, has negative feedback on one & only 2 positive on the other. You also don't accept paypal, which doesn't give me many options if I do experience problems. Im sure you'll agree that I have reason to be concerned. I could report you to ebay, but I'd like to hear what you have to say first. Regards, Matt.
He could easily do a runner & its not paypal so I'd struggle to get my money back (If at all!)
Bloody ebay Selling my phone tomorrow & I need to sort a replacement

Reply already
No your not right in thinking that, there are alot of users over
ebay so i imagine someone can have nearly the same user name,
ebay is a worldwide company, if i was going to do that then i
would surely set up an account with a different name dont you
agree? If you would like to purchase through paypal then i can
arrange that, just pay to ******@hotmail.co.uk
Yeah, what a coincidence
Someone bids on a phone, with a consecutive username to yourself & you retract that bid straight away & offer it to me

So they are almost identical names, both happen to be online at 11 on a saturday night, both have a keen interest in N73s

Perhaps he emailed the phone to him
TBH I think we should just add him to MSN and give him loads of abuse.

Even with PayPal they can empty their bank account or remove their bank details from PayPal. Once you file a complaint and win you cannot get finds off them because there are no funds available.
Yeah, i've done it, and proud Was over something i knew had been delivered!

Him:
Like i said, i have been an ebayer seller for 5 years but because
of scams from people from nigeria they managed to get me
kicked of. It said specificly on my listing that any with a
feedback under 5 should contact me before bidding, i didnt hear
anything from he/she prior to the bid ending. Yes paying
through paypal is fine, however due to the paypal fees please
could you add an extra £2 please as they are quite high, that is
why i usaully use personal cheque. sorry for any innconvience
Me:
I've added you onto MSN to make it easier to talk about this. See you are saying that the other person isn't you....yet he's left you feedback? Which would suggest that he's received the item..on a Saturday... at 11pm. And I think its a bit too much of a coincidence that 2 people with a consecutive username to your own should bid on an item you've listed & then instantly leave good feedback. Scammers are a total pain in the backside, but then again so are people like you. I'll be reporting you to ebay in just a moment. If you can't use the site properly & follow the simple rules then you don't deserve to use the site at all.

Cheeky fooker, £2 extra

Also against Ebay rules to add on fees for using Paypal, make sure you include that when / if reporting him
