Just heard about a man being prosecuted for a video on there. He was caught after police saw his video of him doing over 100mphin a housing estate.
I wonder if police will start scanning forums and video sites about this.

Can they actually use that as evidence?
Could you not claim it was cgi or something?
What are the actual laws?

yeah they search through youtube all the time, heard on the news about these shootings in south london that some gangs post up there videos on youtube and the police monitor it.
corsash i wouldnt be suprised, the video clearly shows his number plate and how fast hes going. i was ok with the video until he went speeding through that 30/40 mph zone on that estate, hope he gets whats coming to him for 2 reasons.
1) driving like a tosser
2) chavving up a clio v6

I hope it isn't him!!! Lives near Sly_SRi in Lower Earley, would mean that Thames Valley Police are up to their usual tricks, picking on the motorist for a easy ride.

Exactly, its far easier than catching drug dealers and rapists.

There was also another one recently about a guy on the Sussex cruise site who crashed his R32 Skyline.
Then went on the forums how he was doing 60 in a 30, not wearing a seatbelt etc... Press and police got involved.

Police busy as usual then, ok these people are breaking the law but FFS there are far worse crimes being commited right now.
The Police need to sort their prioritys out.

I dont see how anything posted on the net can bu used in court, videos could be edited, and as steve said about someone admitting it was them taking points for their boyfreind, how would that work, how could they prove that she actually wrote it,could of been anyone on her account?
Just the police looking for easy crime rather than doing their job properly!

They could always just threaten goign to jail for undertaking....
Oh wait, they already have (not becuase the jails are full anyway, sure, put a motorist in jail, meanwhile, the peado/murderer gets let out to work in a school or something )
Not funny, but jsut the way this gawd awful country is going.
What next, pay per mile tax?

Its not a murder conviction, which you need to prove beyond reasonable doubt. I may be incorrect but I'm sure the phrase for civil offences is 'beyond reasonable doubt', therefore either saying its not me he has a helmet on, or you spend many hours generating computer imagery of the offence is not a suitable defence.

Difference there is that that course of justice crime had actually taken place, the boyfriend had actually taken the points which of course the police had records of. There isn't actually any evidence of you having done silly speeds down the M25.
