airhorns are cool! Used to scare the shit out of runners all the time in my bro's fiesta!! Was his first car, i was 14! A tramp thought it was an air raid siren and actually went into the brace position! Still makes me PMSWL!!!
I wouldn't get 6x9's, i bashed on how they were so good, but seriously, i have components in the doors, components in the rear 1/4 cards and 3 10" subs and it sounds the tits. if i was you i'd invest in a 4x100 amp and get components or even 2x100 and just have front components and 1 12" sub powered of a d class amp.

Nah 6x9s arent good, especially mounted off your parcel shelf, compete with the sub.
No rear speakers is ideal, spend as much ££ as u can on components and a stereo amp, class d/mono amp for the sub.
For proper SQ a single quality 10" will suffice, but i prefer a single 12" - Jl Audio.

that jbl sub isn't great quality. Is the amp the 750 watt mono? If so it's alright, my mate had that powering an Alpine R10 and sounded good.
As said a good 10" will sound good, my mate brought a 10" JL Audio W3 and it does sound good. I'd also reccomend Directed Audio.
What components do you have?

yeah it is a mono. dunno what wattage
as for the sub i know it isnt the best in the world but it will do for the time being til i get a better one. as i said i am only borrowing. i only want the car to sound good though im not making a show car or anything lol.
i will probs ditch the 6x9s as soon as i can sorce a shelf.
would you recoomend reconecting the stock back speakers?
do i need an amp for the components?
and finally you reckon its hard to make a fake floor? and does the sub have to be in a box or is it ok for me to make one so that it sits flush?

TBH Sam you can run the components off a good head unit ie 4x45w min.
They will just sound a hell of a lot better with more power.
Simple sound system would be
- Good HU.
- Good 13cm Comps
- 12" Sub
- 1 mono amp for sub
or 1 mono amp for sub plus a 2 channel amp for comps
or a 4 channel amp for front comps and bridge 2 channels for the sub and put the bridged channel on LPF.

right.
i have a jvc headunit. it is one of them basic ones that everyone has. probably did not cost much. and kenwood 300w 6x9s that i bought just so i had something til the rest was sorted and to fil the already cut holes
for a head say £150? maybe more if needed.
components £130?
sub: that jbl one til i get my own dunno how much to spend really.
amp: that one iv got til i either get my own or buy that one (its a mono)

I have these for comps
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/3828.html
tbh for the money i think they're great, plenty of vocal, hardly any distortion. good value for money imo.
If your using the sub just for a bit of definition to the sound and not to shatter your rear screen that combo will be cool. You'll only notice a big difference when you listen to a good quality sub, ie how low the bass drops how hard it kicks etc but as i said unless your a massive bass head keep it simple.
a head unit like this would be good.

sub package is good. I've heard those subs and they are very suprising.
That HU is shit though. It has 1 2.0v pre out, so basically it is very low voltage giving poor SQ for one amp.
the one i posted had a 5.0v sub out and 2 other pre outs for other amps.
