Theres a bit in this months Auto Express about it, based on the Holden Commodore SSV, will have a 6L 420bhp V8, 0-60 in less than 5seconds. (however vauxhall is likely to offer a range of upgrade kits to boost performence) To replace the current Monaro & will cost £32k+

Will be challenging the Audi RS4 by the looks of things - no doubt the guys on Top Gear will be astonished by the value for money, like they were with the Monaro. Also, there was talk, a few years ago, of the M3 going saloon, with the M4 being the coupe version.

Anyway, the Vauxhall looks pretty impressive.

heard at work this is the new version of the monaro, but NOT a vxr version (even though the pics say its a vxr, but not 100%), someone told me they are calling it a vxr to get it noticed, to get peoples attention, then at the last minute change the name to make it unique.... stupid idea, but still nice car. hope it comes out!!

Kind of, but not really. Vectra VXR is Mondeo ST competitor. This has a V8, not 5 or 6 cylinder. To be honest if you take like for like, this can only be compared to an S4 and RS4 off the top of my head.
