Anyone had any removed? What do they do? I've heard they're cancerous

Just got 3 on me that been there a while and I think it's time they depart my body

Some can be cancerous and need to be checked out if theres any change.

Generally, if they have darker patches within them they can become melanoma, usually more at risk if they're hairy too.

I had a couple on my neck removed. They can be removed either surgically (ie cut off) or be frozen off with liquid nitrogen.

Surgery is the quickest and cleanest option, but can leave some scarring. Liquid nitrogen treament (which is what I had) stings like buggery for a while, can be quite messy - I had dressings on for a week as they blister up and weep - but you dont get a scar and it can usually be done at your GP's surgery.

I just went to get a couple of mine checked recently...
one I want off because it's on my side right where my clothes labels are and it gets really irritated....they said no

I've got one on my cheek they took a picture of...have to go back in 4 months to see if it's changed at all and if it has it'll be taken off

it's free on nhs
