Was on my way out of work, come up to a junction and when I look over my shoulder I see a car wack into the side of another sending it rolling over. Being the closest, I did well to get out and run over to see if everyone was alright, first thing I did was grab my phone to ring for an ambulance. Turned out I knew one of the girls in the flipped car who was taken away on a stretcher, there was also a middle aged woman in the car who wasnt responding to the ambulance people and was taken away! It was all so surreal, you never expect things like that to happen! Hope everyone is alright though!

My bro said he prob would have driven off for the same reason, I couldnt do that though, the car was upside down and there were people screaming inside and potentially badly hurt.

Ive witnessed one, was going to school stood at the buss stop minding my own buisness when i saw a motor bike comming down the road, the kind of road i mean is one of those where there is chevrons all the way down the middle about a cars width, motorbike was overtaking cars in middle of road which there was plenty of room to do, when a car decided he wanted to turn off right. Pulled infront of the bike, if the bloke on the bike had braked properly he would have been alright. But he used a bit too much front brake the car went on the front wheel, wiggled, threw him off, he proceeded to roll and the bike proceeded to spark and flip side to side. Not forgetting i was 15 yards away. He calmly stopped rolling got up picked his bike up and push it to the side of the road and dropped it on its side and just had a bit of a sit down. Meanwhile me and a lad the otherside of the road were laughing our tits off . Not a serious accident but a slapstick one

I am/was a certified 1st aider - just dont want to pull someone from a wreck & get sued for paralysing them!! One of my mates pulled someone from a wreck a while ago & told them to sit in the back of his car - paramedics turn up & said he cant be moved, got the fire dpt to cut the roof off my mates car

Was just a 306 but still, he had nothing to do with it. Except 'good samaritan' doesnt cut any ice on insurance claims & he had to take hit.

I witnessed an accident once, and it was bad

When i lived in South Africa we were driving down a long straight road with one lane either side. A bus coming towards us blew a tire right next to our car and veered onto the other side of the carriageway - and straight into a taxi behind us. Speeds must of been about 60mph, as was on a main road.

The taxi and bus flipped and rolled down an embankemnt into a ditch. We had a few glass scratches on the car due to the impact behind us. Stopped and went to see if we could help but it was absolute carnage 10 people died (taxi had about 7 people crammed into it)

no one has ever been sucsessfully sued in a case like that in this country, so long as there is a risk to their life that out weighs possible paralisation (is that a word?), one of the first questions i asked doing first aid training

What about that guy that stopped to help someone & got the jail then - accused of racing them & causing them to leave the road???? It just seems there is too many things going against folk trying to do good in this country & being the hero comes at its cost from what ive seen!!! Im more of a fence sitter if theres an accident!!

Story was on here a wee while ago, cant remember the full story but someone crashed in their fiesta & there was fatal injury, he got blamed of racing & causing the accident even though he was in a powerfull car 200sx which if racing would be miles in front. He said he was behind & saw the crash & had just stopped to help I think hes still inside!!

here here, if I was in my corsa (which is lowered, aloys ect) and came across an accident, i'd have good reason not to stop, for the exact resons covered above...but if i was in my mums astra (02 reg, standard) i'd be twice as likely to stop and offer help

justice in this country sucks

P>S> I know the guy you're talking about, and yes as far as I know he's still inside
