Never really seen one of these go, but saw one yesterday and the guy was giving it some stick. My word they sound fantastic! Am I right in thinking they are V10? Sounded like an old Airplane or something. Went like shit off a shovel too!

there was one of these going round knockhill last weekend.. Wasnt impressed by the sound much because it had a new rs4 chasing it that sounded out of this world. Only way to describe the noise was a V-twin motorbike engine note but better...

theres a black one kicking around glasgow with the outer angel eyes blue and inner ones white.
He's about 45 and goes into town swatching all the 19 yr olds.
some noise when he rapes the corsa, saxo though.

Me and dad like the M3 noise  better once the engine has warmed up after about 30mins though, terrible when cold.
Although I like the E60 M5 for what it is, it's also too complicated with all the settings etc. I much prefer the facelift E39 M5.

I used to think they sounded shite, but the sound has really grown on me. You certainly know when an M3 is blipping past. There's an M3 CSL round my way and it is ACE! Next car

CSL's sound awesome. Heard a few m5's giving it some and they sound nice, kind of weird but nice, not as nice as lambo v10 though.
Can't beat a high revving v8 imo though. (rs4 or ferrari)

when it comes to m3's the e36 model sounds alot nicer than the e46.
i think i prefer the engine/exhaust note from my mates e46 330ci over the m3

i had one toy with me in the nova

Aye theres a couple of M5's in our exec car park everyday... beautiful
M6 in that reddy purple colour is best  Saw one wehn I was test driving the 3 series and it really is magnificent in the flesh

Sometimes a 6 series convertible in the car park. Prefer the coupe.
