Well the SV has given me a few issues, so i've thought "sod it" so i've gone and bought meeeself a new toy.
Not the greatest bike in the world by far, but will be good for what i need it for. Daily hack to work and back, and something I can take the missis out on for a weekend ride etc.
Will miss my SV Vee Twin engine note though Still, got myself a bargin really..
06 Bandit S 650cc.
0 miles, not yet registered.
Top box
ABS
Fender extender
RnG's
£4200 total (most go for £4200+, without the ABS (£200) and topbox (£300))
Missis will love the backrest topbox

The fun of sub 3000rpm run in period now. Pick her up saturday afternoon.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Top box is for carrying sandwhiches (Maybe ) and paperwork to and from work. Saves me having to wear a rucksack.
Practical, its not a sports bike

hhhmmm, my dad upgraded from a bandit 600 to his SV1000SZ, he has it in the GSXR colours, all fully faired, they do sound good but i prefer the sound of a inline 4 at 16000rpm!!!

Have your read anything I wrote yet bar lookign at the pictures?
JR, nope, looked into it. Looked at a ERN6, but found out a lot have people have had problems. Also looked at a Yamaha Fazer, but a lot more expensive, and lack bottom/mid rang grunt, de-tuned R6 engine, no good for commuting (esp on the A2 for the next 2 years )
Had to be a new bike, and its a very very very good price. PLus a nice warrenty...
Oi, don't knock suzukis git, we still drive Corsas remember (saying that, old man isn't walking yet, and has bought an MV Augusta special edition, all carbon fibre, semi slick tyres, private plate as well, he's very bored ). He's hoping he'll have enough after the payoff for another Benelli as well. Im supreemly jealous
Top box for added commuter cool... Easy to take off should I want to, just unclip it, all of 2-3 seconds
See cool demo shot

Yeah, its called ripping it off and breaking it thus making it useless.....
Bike is in a garage, and also in an underground carpark with about 6 security guards at the entrance to the loading bay, 2 levels up.... (carpark under loading bay, try it ).
JR, looked at a Hornet, but they are £6k new, thats a lot more money. Trust me, for £4k, brand new, warrenty etc, nothing came close.
I know it'll get corrode, but the plan is to keep it 2-3 years, then upgrade again.

Funny enough, my old mans just got rid of one of those as his deposit on his new bike to replace his written off Benelli. (Yam never got used).
Even though he still can't walk without crutches yet

My dad had one for a few years now neve any major problems.
Only bad points are the frame seems to start to rust quickly.
Exhaust doesnt last long as they used a bit of mild steel to join the two halves togther
