Can anyone direct me to a site regarding the above offence?

I though it was a £30 fine, and if you got caught 3 times you got points?

Please correct me . . . .

Thanks!

Fine, sometimes a rectification notice that will have to be stamped by an MoT centre.

i got - (for black plates)
warning and nicely asked to change them - 1st time
then £30 fine - 2nd time
changed them after that because the police officer said he would impund my car if i was caught again

current small plate - still going (touch wood)

Small plate on mine, only been on a few days so can't comment yet. Don't think many Evo owners have had hassle for smaller front plates.

Depends on the officer...

Really 3 options

1. Tell you change them

2. Make you chnage them (Vehicle Defect Rectification Notice - Which gets stamped at a MOT garage)

3. £30 conditional Offer Fixed Penalty to be paid within 28 days

Mine was blocking off some of the I/C so it has some advantages. Plus a large square plate looked gay and ruined look of the front end. Although there isn't any point of doing it on a Corsa

thats what i mean, why change a perfectly good numberplate on a corsa? doesn't make sense. unless its for some serious reason/mod i dont see the point. your just asking to be pulled all the time.

My dad got pulled for his (no gap between numbers and letters)

Busy 1h whats this sir, why do I have to have a gap and you dont, I thought thats how it worked didnt you John (the other busy)
John: Yeh thats what I thought myself but obviously this man can do what he wants
Busy 1: Appears so

He got a £30 fine and the front plate took off him and wasnt allowed to drive the car without a plate, he obviously got the worst pricks of the day lol

mine is 3/4 of the size font on a normal sized plate, perfectly legable to, I've yet to have any hassle and i've drove passed many police cars, I've had the plates on for two months aswell!

just looks slightly different which is why I like it!

why not just keep a standard size plate though? just looks silly being smaller as you still have the same size recess. would be nice if the recess was smoothed.
