In the highlands to be exact... I think the answer might just be no, but, do people who live up in the mountains have chains for thier tyres? Probably going to be driving up there this weekend for some skiing...

No but i certainly wouldnt do it in a corsa , or any other light car for that reaon.

Last year a mondeo was on one of the roads and it was really windy and the icy roads made it easy for the car to blow around freely, aparently it eventually blew them into a field, shouldnt laugh but it would be funny getting slipped about on ice in a mondeo by the winds.

i been up loch lomond last week for a drive in my uncles freelander and it wasnt that bad.

Be very wary of all things ice-like though mate.

there was a post in general earlier someone who drove their punto up to scotland. Said it wasnt a problem if you let the traction control take over (if you have traction control)

I think they're used to the conditions more so will be preparing the roads accordingly.

Jag X-type is what you want! Full with all the gear as recommended by Clarkson on Top Gear!

All depends on the weather really.....Check the forcasts...Alot of the b roads in bad weather are bad to pass..Most roads get cleared though just like anywhere else...

So it's not like France where they leave the roads a foot deep in snow for a laugh ...

I'll just have to check the forcasts before we head on up and go on what it says...

It's only Scotland, it's not as if we live on some other planet which is constantly in a freeze

lol you should be ok. Although there has been a little now but i doubt you will need chains.

Ps: If a little green man asks you to pull over, keep on driving!

Hmmm strange....

lol well arround this time of year it's always really cold. Be prepared for hail, snow, rain, wind and sunshine. You never really know what you going to get untill it happens.

Hope you have a nice time and don't get lost, hehe.

Take a camera with you and post up some pictures afterwords

As long as he faces down hill, I'm sure he'll be alright.
