Does she do Nursing?
Outside of the NHS, most students won't/don't have the option for anything other than a loan.

if i ever make it past this year i'll be able to get bursarie cos i'll be on my teaching degree, think it all adds up to about 5k, then i also dont have to pay back any loans on top of that if i teach for 2 years in the same place

biggest tuition fee loan you can have is around £3000

biggest maintenance loan is around £4000 if your living away.

biggest bursary i have seen so far is £1400 from my uni which my mate gets as his family income is quite low.

so thats around 9 grand over a full year, as loans ect are paid in installments.

so how is some one getting £8000 in one go, i know money gets given for few reasons e.g

teachers
nhs
foregin (sp) students
disabilty
students with kids

if she doesnt qualify for this i cant work out how she would get £8000 in january.

and i get bolix all, the system now seems set up to only benifit those amongst us who come from lower class backgrouns, or foreign people.

people who are statistically more likely to drop out of higher education or not finish it through failing.

uni is shit wish i never went tbh.

which ones, im lead to belive its all part of one thing, the student loans company deals with the bursaries from the indicidual uni's any way its not actually the uni's who give the bursaries.

i dont know why people say uni is shit, having the best time of my life, that is the problem failed last year and fucked up last semester a bit.

but uni is a great experience, but i think my experience has been very diffrent from people who have lived at home and gone to uni.
