Apprenty, the person who owned the buildings gave a call to blow the buildings as part of an insurance thingy etc because it was going to cost so much to remove the aspestos so apprently it was all planned...
On this documentry i watched it said...
Steel melts at something like 2750 degrees .... the flames up there were about 700'c max so no way they flames could of bought the building down, the way it came down was like a controlled demolition, and pieces of steel were embedded in building streets away...
Only an explosion could of propelled the pieces of steel that far...

There was a small explosion when the planes flew in.
Plus steel buckles, moves and weakens when heated
