more often than not, it is the case. I.e someone may not be a "chav" as such, but they still wear trackies other than to the gym then in my eyes, they are of chav

I tend to hear alot of people say the "chav" word if they dont like something which you do.

At work the other day we were taking about what we would do if we won the lottery. i said i would buy a fast car. Then a collegue (he is about 15years older than me) said you would you chav.

I asked him y am i a chav for buying that.....his answer was just because

seems like people like to use the word as an offensive word.

I never wear trackies. Dont even own any.

Every lass I've been with always wears trackies or 'slacks' when they are at home. Hate the bloody things. Look crap. And they do LOOK chav...

To be fair I have had these trackie bottoms for about 5 years, they are comfy to work in.

I'm just trying to make excuses when deep down, i know that all i am and will be is a chav

I think the word is over used now. Some minky bloke who wears trackies, hangs around parks with bottles of cider until he has to go for his giro called ME a chav
