facts:

Seller and I

WE BOTH agreed a deal on some wheels. We also agreed cash on collection (choice betwwen cheque and cash on collection) Meeting was set to be on Saturday during the day preferably after 1pm to adjust to the seller. Several u2us sent to confirm deal. Personal details were exhanged.

This morning again, we confirmed the deal.

Later, I u2u'ed seller to ask IF it was possible to meet on Sunday instead of Saturday because I was heading to Manchester on Saturday with some other wheels to drop for a another member off here. i only ASKED IF IT WAS POSSIBLE.

I never got any reply from the seller. He claims having replied though.

I u2u'ed him again some time later and asked if he got my previous u2u.

His reply this time:

'Yes i replied.
I have got someone who is willing to pick up tomorrow night and i cant wait until sunday unfortinatly i wont be around after then and i need them gone as im getting stick for it!'

Now, I know it's not the end of the world, BUT we agreed on a deal, I never changed or cancelled it but asked for a possibility for which I never got a reply.

How unfair and unethical people can be!

Nah, I'm not doing it...But I just don't like it.

And from the conclusion of the deal, 2 other opportunities for me to purchase similar wheels have gone.

We just need to keep to our word when we give it. End of

oh shoosh

If you were selling something would you sell it to the first person, or risk turning them down to be let down by someone else?

The amount of people that offered to buy Adam's wheels of him but then never did in the end...and then when he did sell them the amount of people that came back saying 'oh but I really wanted them, I thought you were selling them to me'

ptdffff

no shoosh here, If he asked me to pay by internet transfer paypal, bank transfer, I would have done it instantly.

To show that I was genuine, I even change some plans to do more things on my way.

And we don't generalise things.

I wrote in my first post: there were only 2 choices of payment, cash on collection or cheque.

Cheque would not have cleared on time, so we agreed on cash on collection.

I've seen the wheels and like them.

I asked if it was a possibility. NOT definitive.
