Did you not get the Astra VXR then? If you did, I thought you would have got the Corsa VXR.
Think I've seen that video, or something similar before. Surprised they're "only" putting a 1.6 in, even though it is supercharged. I wonder who will take a 2.0 out of the Astra VXR and drop it in.

I think it'll handle just like the Astra does. Superbly..
Same stats from teh smaller 1.6 engine.
Looking forward already to see the re-mapped and exhausted aftermarket models.....
I think it'll really be a blast to drive.. Astras so much fun, this is just a slightly smaller Astra... Just doesn't look as nice (personnal choice).

If its £15,999 then its a good price as well.
Still going for the Astra, can't wait around for it to be released.

Do you think that it will be made to understeer on Top Gear like the Astra & Vectra VXR's that they've had on there?

I think the torque steer with no hands on the wheel, on an uneven surface with your foot buried in the carpet will be just as bad.

Who knows? We sell the Astra H as a Holden here in Auz, including just the Holden Astra Turbo. The Barina/Corsa C got replaced by some korean shit, so who knows what Holden will do next, but apparently there is interest for it, particularly considering the gamma platform GM cars are going to be built in China also...

I was behind a black VXR last weekend, road was fairly uneven, we both booted it away from the lights and bugger me did that Astra squirm about on the road and make a cocks ear of things

Yes - the Vectra was terrible Actually went in a straight line. These cars, because of the turbo basically has too much power or can't put it down correctly. The guy at Honda at the Motor Show was saying that Honda are concentrating on how the CTR puts power down, not the power itself, so being naturally aspirated it should be good.
Anyway, enough of Vtech, I think the Corsa VXR will do just fine on UK roads.

Mazda got it right with the 3 MPS, 260bhp through FWD and still manages to get all the power down because it was designed with more thought towards road holding.

What a load of cock, the Vectra VXR handles superb just because some idiot on Top Gear decides he doesn't like a powerful FWD car they decided to give it a negative review, Top Gear are biased anyway I don't watch that crap.
