quote:
Peter,
I do not have time to be sending money around the world, if your
daughter wishes to have my car (which is very high powered) I would
suggest that you send me the amount i require and nothing more or
less.
I will require a UK address and number for the DVLA, they will not
accept an address outside of the UK.
Otherwise, may I suggest you buy her a Civic Type R or something,
because they are the fastest car ever developed, ever.
Cheers,

What normally happens is that they put a massive offer (over the asking price) and send you a cheque. You cash the cheque and wait a few days to clear. They will then request the remainder of money back, so you send a cheque and the goods back to the buyer. They cash your money and receive the goods.
A week or 2 later your bank will be in contact with you stating that the cheque is a fake and you loose that money as well as the money you sent back and the product.
Very good if you ask me, I can't believe people fall for it but trust me they do.
My gf works for lloyds and she regularly has customers in tears stating that they have lost £1000s to these scammers.
The think that catches the people out is that they think a cheque is cleared after 5 days but really it hasn't

I want to know where he got my info from though, as he mentioned my current car, (and got the name exactly correct) which isn't for sale anyway

not like you would fall for it anyway with the shit english!
but i understand now, it is clever when it first ever worked, but won't work now surely. Unless people still fall for that shit. Usually they say they are from africa or some stuff and it would help there family very much ! hahaha

Hello Seller,
My Name is Peter.
I'm a citizen of United Kingdom, but I have all my business with my family in United State of America. I have the intention of purchasing your advert for sale. I'll pay you with a UK cheque, and wait for the pick up once the transaction has been sealed. If this is okay with you,do get back to me with your LAST PRICE so that I can forward the payment to you.
Regards,
Peter.
