For any one who knows the area, came off weatcroft roundabout down Melton road towards west bridgford.

Doing 50ish. Notice a police car behind me. lights come on. I slow down and come to a stand still.

Stay sat in the car. Young copper comes walking down. Asks me to step out of the car.

Asks me if its my car.

Then says how fast were you driving down here. Said 50ish 55 at the most. He looks at me and smiles and said its a 40 limit down here.

Gave him a confused look and said im sure a white sign with a black line to means national speed limit. single lane so its a 60 all the way down to Edwalton hall where it becomes a 40 (which is about half a mile further down the road. I then point to the repeater sign on the lampost next to us.



He smiled and said sorry my mistake. Thought it was a 40.

Said nice car and said i could be on my way

What a waste of time.

that stretch of road has been 60 for as long as i can remember.

I dont have a problem with police. One of my best mates is a copper in cov.

Dont have an attitude and you will always be on your way in a few mins.

I have been stopped for driving at some naughty speeds before.

Talked nicely to them and always been sent on my way without anything more then a talking to.

Seem to keep hearing stories of people getting stopped for no reason... someone on CC|UK said he got stopped for tints the other day... his windows are completely un-tinted, just standard windows

i normally get my tax at the post office and then sit in the car park and change it.

Taxed it online, opend the letter and been sat on my desk since last week.

i was nice and keep saying sir wen i got pulled 4 doin 110mph but they had no proof as i was doin 70mph wen they caught me up lol

i went past a traffic police car at about 120mph in the XE corsa and he was sat in the layby.

I saw him and broke hard down to 70mph and then turned off and prayed. Checks rear view mirror blues and twos going and hes coming up behind me, im thinking oh shit there goes my license but....... ne went str8 past me turned around and went back down the motorway in the opposite direction was well chuffed
