my brother and his gf have a mobility car and they normally only get the low range models say a corsa club .. if they wanted an sxi or an sri they would have to pay the extra

Usually you just pay more deposit if you want to upgrade the car. Also optional extras you would pay for up front.

Not sure where you would get clarification of that. Vauxhall have a helpline - 0800 731 5267 or email customer@vauxhall-mobility.co.uk

Cheers Ian i'll get my dad to phone and find out as i'd rather have a sxi than a lower range one but still if i have to have a lower model at least it's better than a moped my mates will be getting lol.

I got a thing wrong with my left hip where the blood dosnt get to it properly so it starts to crumble away and i will need a hip replacement in a year or two. I may need an automatic as i sat in my uncles car and pressed the clutch in a few times and it was uncomfortable so i will probs need an automatic

so what happens in the next couple of years when u get the replacment, are you still classed as disabled? because then technically not to sound harsh but there wont be bone to cruble will there?

Only way you can get bigger stuff like that is to put down money yourself as deposit. Also if you have a car on the scheme you forfeit some income. Financially its only marginally better than just paying outright, just you get insurance easier and can swap at the end of the contract, much like contract hire.

Its not a free car.

you can mod them but nothing that leaves any damage once removed things like exhausts to will void the warrenty then if somthing goes wrong ur at fault i wouldnt modify one at all but u can do things like stereo etc as long as on hand back the vehicle is deemed to be in a average condition ur ok, btw im qualified inspector of these so know all there is to know about the condion of them lol ive got booklets etc telling me whats rite and not, scratch wise dont worry on little scratches its only damage that they worry about
