What is the kerb weight of a Corsa 1.6 16v, as standard?
And that of a Saxo VTR '97 plate (90bhp version)?
Myself and one of my housemates are debating on our bhp/tonne and which car has more, I think its mine but I want numbers to prove it!

sounds about right. Corsa will be quicker. Im fed up of people saying all the time a vtr Saxo won't loose to a corsa.
VTR Saxo's are slow and a 1.4 16v and 1.6 16v corsa will kill them through the gears and top end!!!

after having driven both I would say the std corsa can feel a bit off the pace and vague in the corners, However with the right touches a corsa can be made to go / handle very well as can the saxo.
So std for std I would say the saxo is quicker, (well doubt there would be much in it between a vtr and gsi / 1.6 sport)
In terms of build quality though the corsa is a much better car
