I hate christmas

Well I like christmas day but hate the build up to it, christmas is well over rated!

I hate having to run round busy shops trying to find stuff to buy for my family, who want for nothing...just because its the done thing!! I hate a wasted 2 weeks holiday at a time of year when theres very little to do & id rather have the time in summer.

Anyone else feel the same??

i quite like having time off at christmas, going to work on a rainy cold morning is depressing to the max, at least this way you can stay in a nice warm bed for 2 weeks

I wouldnt mind if the build up last the 2 or 3 weeks before, but it start in September!!

Do all my xmas shopping online these days so no need to go into a busy city and wait for hours in traffic and queuing to pay.

It's ironic how I have to ask my parents for some money so I can buy them a present.

Another thing I hate is how it seems a competition to outdo eachother on the prezzy buying. In my last work there were a few girls who saved like all year for christmas to get family members hundreds of pounds worth of gifts each.

They were quite shocked & laughed & called us tight when I mentioned that I only bought my family a small unexpensive gift & they done likewise but were still happy all the same & would go scatty if I 'wasted' my money getting them something they didnt want/need!!

Now im not tight & would give my last penny to help out any of my family but I think spending upwards of a grand on christmas is plain stupid / greed!!

Members of CS...........how much do YOU spend on Christmas??

I'll be arriving home from holiday on the 24th, i'm so tempted to not come back and just stay in the mountains. I know where i'd rather be, and i'm sure no one will notice i'm gone. Last year I spent Christmas Day working on my car.

Yeah, its quality, not quantity from me Presents with a bit of thought behind them, instead of something obvious and expensive.

I get fuck all spent on me anyway, so it'd be pointless wasting money on other people

I plan to either rebuild the current engine or fit a new one in the golf over X-mas

Thats my thinking, find something they will appreciate rather than the latest expensive gadget.
