I am in no doubt that there HAS to be some other form of life outside of our Earth. I'd be very surprised if there isn't.

its extremely ignorant to think there isnt other life out there. it really makes me wonder what other forms of intelligent life must be like though

Ignorant and Arrogant!. It's possible that intelligent forms of life would be in a form we would find difficult to understand or comprehend.

There is too many possible solar systems, planets, stars etc... for us to be the only one with forms of life. Even our own solar system could have undiscovered intelligent life. Our own system is big enough for it to take many life times to map/explore. It seems uncomprehensible to imagine the number of planets able to sustain/provide life.

As humans we like to tidy up odds and ends and have explanations for things we do not understand. Space and the universe could be the most difficult thing to grasp on our place or purpose etc... If you think of space as a vast area then at the end there is a solid wall all the way around, what is on the other side of the wall?, Where does it end?.

You never know - we could actually be in a big game that we don't know about - a sort of bigger version of 'The Sims' with people (or things) controlling us.

Some alien 50 billion light years away has me sitting at my computer at the minute. Soon he's going to press the 'Sleep' button and send me to bed. I know this as he's done this for years and years now.

Better not say anything offensive incase he kills me.

Even compared to the size and age of the universe, the chances of life just popping up like it did on earth is surprisingly small.

I recommend having a read at The Blind Watchmaker.
