Just had a "super wicked high-five team" of scooters come past work. 6 of the noisey buggers..
soooo underpowered.. honestly would it not just be better to walk or get on your bicycle ?
must me cheaper really, and you dont have to wear a reject crash helmet.
all with L plates on..
just wait a couple of years and get a lil Festa or something then you can go around making even more noise with your 6x9s and bangin drum n bass...

It does seem a bit silly.
£2k for the scooter, £400 insurance, £5 petrol every 4 minutes.
have one for 18 months, costs you nearly 3k, you probably get a grand back.
so in 18 months, you've wasted 2k which could have bought, and insured a fiesta or something

Robin where are you getting these figures from, and sorry but £5 petrol would last you all week on a scooter
Mate had one we used to binge about on it everywhere (feet over reg plate through speed camera's ) best fun ever when you're 16
Oh yeah he paid £1k for his and his was de-restricted with a 'power pipe' indicated 60

I meant every 5 minutes because you are ragging around for 9 hours an evening.
I was over exaggerating slightly.
But my point remains.

What in christ, ride one and tell me you aren't having the most fun you have ever had.
Aprilia SR50 with Arrow race pipe and lightened and balanced rollers, uprated jets and your looking at 60mph easily with awesome accelration.
£5 quids worth of petrol will last you a week and beyond, I got from Reading to Hayling Island on 3.50 worth of petrol on mine.

Gilera Runners are good bikes.
I had one of those, but a 50cc. It was good for 75 MPH though.
I worked at a motorbike shop at the time, so i got all the parts for cheap. I did all the work myself.
I changed the gears, clutch, variator, carb, head and barrel, crank, exhaust. My cousin couldn't keep up in his 1.2 Nova

Gileras are far to heavy and slow. I know for a fact a 50cc Gilera Runner will not do 75mph. A 125 Gilera will do 75mph, just.

A Gilera 50 will not do 75 MPH on standard gears, fact.
