Went up to the retail park for a looka round liek I do every Sunday Night. As we got off the motorway we saw loads and loads of police all sat on the Hard Shoulder ready to move. My passenger counted 7 Volvos an X5 and 2 bikes!
Went up to the retail park and stayed for about 5 minutes, then we see a couple of Sprinters pull up and loads of police jump out (About 10-15). Start to pull out of the park, it goes Family in VW Transporter who have come out for KFC, Mate in Nova, Scooby, Me...
We get further down the road and another sprinter swings round the roundabout, blocks our way out and about 10 Armed police officers jump out! . They say the road is closed and everyone is getting checked. Had to stay there for about 10 minutes while the traffic lot set up and we were told to move forward.
We get talking to this sound copper, who says he's "not sure" on my dark wheels He's talking to my passenger and sees me messing about with a plate and putting sticky pads on it. Then I jumped out and sticked it over my small plate. Another copper started to say something, but the sound one was like "It's ok Dave, we've talked about it". Ace
Went to the next checkpoint where pics were taken of the nova, scoob and my car for "the newspapers". They checked all my details and got a VOSA guy to check over my car , but no problems there. They were going to let me go but I asked for a stop sheet on purpose.
I don't have a problem with them doing all the checks, Hopefully they caught some of the scumbags with no insurance/bald tyres, but was amazed at the amount of resources they used!

I think it's because people were firing fireworks out of cars earlier in the evening. I didn't see anything though.

Seen a few sights down there over the years Remember an orion going broadside at the maccy d's roundabout and promptly stacking it head on into a lamp post. Not a pretty sight.
Driver got royally fucked over by the police though

Some say vtec was carved from ballsa wood by chuck norris at the peak of Mt. Everest, some say it was formed at the big bang... Others say its used in Honda engines.
