between a 1.2 8v and a 1.4 sport? was just wondering if there is much noticable benifits such as more pull on acceleration and more overall power! its just that im thinking of getting one in march as i currently have a 1.2 which ive had just over a year now and i think its a slug lol!
cheers for any help!

Go for the 1.6 if you can afford to. Saves getting bored of the 1.4 then wanting a 1.6

IMO the 1.2 8v is a cracking engine for your first car
Never let me down and is very cheap to fix
Granted its very very slow but save your cash wait until you 21 or insurance goes down and get another car

with the money u spend tuning a 1.4 you might aswell get a 1.6 and spend that modding money on insurance

yea so that 250quid difference which you would spend on a air filter/exhaust etc , could pay the premium on a 1.6! thats what i would do anyway

Got to be the 1.6 then. You'll spend more than 300 quid changing your car in a when you get bored of the 1.4.

anyone know reading this thread, how much roughly it costs more with declared mods such as alloys, filter, backbox, lowered springs to the average quote, i.e. 715 quid in this case?
